Jonathan Karlen Files as Candidate for U.S. Congress in Missouri’s Third Congressional District

St. Charles County Democrat to Challenge Incumbent Blaine Luetkemeyer

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Jonathan (Jon) Karlen officially filed today in his bid to unseat incumbent Republican Blaine Luetkemeyer as U.S. Representative for the Third Congressional District in 2022.

Karlen, a software engineer, resides with his family in O’Fallon, Mo. He is a lifelong Democrat who chose Missouri as home 15 years ago. Karlen knows first-hand the benefits and challenges of raising a family here.

“I see so much good in this state, but it is diluted by ineffective government both at the state level and in representation in the federal government, Jon said. “I know economic growth can be brought to Missouri with a Representative who works for the people instead of lining his own pockets with dark money from big corporations and banks.”

Karlen aims to serve Missouri’s Third Congressional District by working with and for local residents as one of their own. He has already begun meeting with residents across the District to understand their priorities and needs, regardless of how they plan to cast their votes.

“The toxic Republican partisanship in this District doesn’t truly serve the needs of Missourians. Worse yet, it brings death and violence that threatens the very fabric of our democracy. It’s time to remove Blaine Leutkemeyer from office and give Missourians a truly representative voice in Congress,” said Karlen.
